The village is an agricultural and fishing village. The village people are charming, natural and hospitable, and they are not yet run over with the tourist trade. Please note that Casa das Videiras is not a noble mansion where you are secluded from the world. If you are searching for this, please see our other houses. Ours is a restored village home in the middle of a living village, with its beauty and ugliness of daily village life just next to you.Casa das Videiras has four double rooms, three in the main building and one in the garden house, all with in suite bathrooms. A baby cot is available. The assembly-rooms are comfortable with a lounge, a drawing-room with cable TV and music, a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen, which you are free to use. Natália will be serving you breakfast with fresh, homemade bread.The walks and hikes in the open country are fantastic. This is the place where the mountains fall into the sea. Being near the sea, swimming is a must, not only during the summer season. Or just sit in the sun on the seashore rock with a fishing rod, waiting for your dinner to bite. At home you can relax with a good book after the day’s activities. Or just ask Natalia, your maid, for a nice cup of tea or some coffee. Sometimes there are village festivals. Being a neighbour, you are always welcome to participate. Casa das Videiras welcomes you to enjoy a village holiday, far away from the daily hustle and bustle of a city life. This was a neat local home which had almost fallen into ruins. It was restored and amplified with tree bed rooms and luxury living areas. It is decorated with a mixture of Portuguese style and inspirations and artifacts from the owner’s life in Norway, India and in the Middle East. The guests are free to use the kitchen. In addition you find the garden cottage, a small house for the couple loving their privacy. There are several good local restaurants and bars near the house. Try the fish specialties, and do not forget the local vine.
