Here you will find well stocked, large supermarkets, excellent (and very reasonably priced) restaurants catering for all tastes from local cuisine to Indian and Chinese. There are many cafes, shops and banks, a post office, museum, etc. There is also a local tourist bureau which is worth a visit to source local maps and places of interest. English is fairly widely spoken and communication is seldom an issue. The larger, more bustling town of Loule is a 20 minute drive away. It is well known for its large indoor market, recently renovated and full of varied and interesting things to buy, from fresh fish, meat and vegetables to clothing, household items and curios.
