Located within the SW Alentejano/Costa Vicentina Nature Reserve, in area protected countryside, the Quinta do Monte is a 22 hectare estate perched atop an important Portuguese river, the Mira. The House, surrounded by a forest of cork oaks and pine trees, was completed in 1993. In building of the house, the traditional architecture of the region was taken into account, while making the most of its setting with wide windows overlooking the magnificent view of the river.
