This 16th Century house has been transformed over the years to create a luxury holiday villa offering many facilities including large well kept gardens and woodland. The house is in the Lima valley, Costa Verde, in the North of the country, considered by many to be the most beautiful area of Portugal.Quinta de Nabais has 6 bedrooms all with en suite shower room. Three of the bedrooms have a double bed, two have twin beds and one has a single bed. There is a reading lounge upstairs which has doors leading out onto the balconies which provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
The open plan lounge and dining room is complete with a very large table which is ideal for entertaining large groups in cool evenings, heated by the pleasant fireplace.
The kitchen is traditional in style and is fully equipped with modern appliances. Quinta de Nabais is surrounded by extensive grounds and has a large swimming pool with a basketball hoop and a water polo goal. In the grounds there is an outdoor self catering dining area with stone tables and benches, shaded by mature trees - spectacular in summer.
A separate modern kitchen is located in a covered area near the swimming pool. This kitchen has a hob, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and separate cutlery and crockery. It also has a barbecue.
For small children, there is a small play area near the swimming pool with swings etc. There are also bicycles and other sports equipment at the house for the use of guests.
Tennis rackets are provided for use on the floodlit tennis court (metered electricity extra) however, serious players are advised to bring their own rackets. The quinta is ideally located near modern fast roads leading to the old sailing port of Viana do Castelo, the Peneda-Geres National Park, the walled town of Valenca and, Vigo, Baiona and Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Ponte de Lima golf course is a few km from the house.

Our property is located at the entrance of Cogul the heart of a wooded park of 10 hectares and offers a view of the surrounding countryside. The village is located about 10 kilometers from the city of Trancoso, in either a forty kilometers from Guarda. In the same village, a nearby grocery store and cafe are at your disposal. Three apartments were built on the ground floor of the Manor.

The quietness, the fresh air, the choir of birds, the outstanding explosion of green vineyards, the nearby stream, the amazing sounds and scents of the countryside, altogether at the reach of a sight or a calm walk around. The main house (indeed there are two houses!) provides all the modern comforts, preserving all the traditions a country house is expected to show. It’s huge, very well equipped and full of refined, cosy and romantic spaces, just like the private attic room or the elegant balcony, from where one can see breathtaking sunsets. The garden is beautiful, a palette of colours and a bouquet of tasty scents. The barbecue and its gracious site are ideal to ensure a pleasant meal at the open air, just by the pool or at the fresh shadow of the poplars. The swimming-pool is also great, especially for a refreshing midnight bath in hot summer nights. The small house is just dreamy! It looks like a toy house, also full of comfort and magic. It is also very pleasant and comforting in winter, because the house is equipped with salamanders (firewood), fireplace (firewood) and heating (electric) in all divisions. This place is very suitable for families with children. It’s indeed a home for an unforgettable holiday season.
