Ervideira Lagoon is just 17 Km far away to west and has a nice country side beach surrounded by wood walking pathways for pedestrians.In a range of less than 20 Km you can reach Pedrogão and Vieira de Leiria beaches, and more to the south S. Pedro de Moel and the world famous beach of Nazaré and even Peniche.The cities of Leiria, Coimbra, and the historical areas of Batalha, Alcobaça with their world famous monasteries, and the roman city of Conimbriga or the medieval castle at Óbidos are located nearby.

From that point, I would start by climbing the Tower of the Clérigos (the symbol and the highest point of the city). A remarkable view of the entire city. The Lello Bookshop (one of the 5 most beautiful in the world), the Avenue of the Allies (the wall of the city), the São Bento train station (one of the most beautiful in the world), Porto Cathedral, Majestic Café and Ribeira are very nearby and apply your visit. Located within the SW Alentejano/Costa Vicentina Nature Reserve, in area protected countryside, the Quinta do Monte is a 22 hectare estate perched atop an important Portuguese river, the Mira. The House, surrounded by a forest of cork oaks and pine trees, was completed in 1993. In building of the house, the traditional architecture of the region was taken into account, while making the most of its setting with wide windows overlooking the magnificent view of the river. The house can quite comfortably accommodate 14 people and is part of other buildings, either farm outbuildings or part of the infrastructure of the 20m x 4m swimming pool, built on a terrace looking down onto the river. There are even a small lake and a pontoon on the river where you can take a dip and fish.The woods surrounding the house consist mostly of cork-oaks, pine and olive trees and are criss-crossed by a number of paths, enabling guests to enjoy a peaceful stroll in a landscape of rare natural beauty.
