The Upper Eden Valley around Kirkby Stephen is an unspoilt oasis situated between the busy Yorkshire Dales and the crowded Lake District National Parks.
Some of our guests come to explore those adjacent tourist magnets yet seduced by the local countryside never actually get there! In fact we have had some visitors who never moved from the cottage! At Stouphill Gate all our guests can be assured of a warm friendly welcome and lots of peace & tranquility.
Stouphill Gate is a traditional old Cumbrian farmstead, and the holiday accommodation has been formed from the older parts of the property retaining much of the original character whilst benefiting from all of the modern conveniences. The owners live adjacent and are happy to assist guests in any way during their stay

This dainty 1890s Lodge is situated in private grounds (with off road parking) minutes outside the traditional historic English villages of Westerham & Brasted, home to Sir Winston Churchill (1874 - 1965) & King Henry VIII (1491-1547) & backs onto Westerham Golf Club. Offers great road access to M25.Completely renovated to a very high specification the property boasts period features including high ceilings & moulded cornices giving the dwelling a very modern yet homely feel. The Lodge is situated beside the A25 with beautiful views over looking hills, farm & park land known as 'The Garden of England Countryside'. The Lodge has two double bedrooms & a single bedroom or 2nd reception with additional double sofa bed, modern kitchen, including all appliances & granite worktops. Both reception rooms have fires but use of gas is additional. Natural beech wood floors to hall & kitchen. Carpets to all bedrooms & reception rooms. New travertine bathroom.
